Class & Competition Helpers

Volunteer class helpers are the backbone of our club, contributing far more than extra hands in a class. They create a supportive, nurturing environment where younger performers feel encouraged, confident, and connected. By assisting coaches with demonstrations, technique correction, class organisation, and positive role modelling, helpers make it possible for classes to run smoothly and safely.
Their presence strengthens club culture. Helpers often build strong relationships with younger students, helping them feel included, motivated, and valued as part of our club community.
Importantly, volunteering as a class helper also provides a natural and meaningful pathway toward future coaching. Helpers gain early exposure to lesson planning, skill progression, leadership, and communication in a real training environment. They learn how to guide different age groups, how to support diverse learning needs, and what it takes to keep a class engaged. All of our accredited coaches began as class helpers, developing their passion and confidence gradually over time.
