About Sub-Juniors
Our Sub-Juniors teams are for girls and boys ages 8-10 years. Our Sub-Juniors learn and perform the following items: March, Clubs, Freearm, Rods, Aesthetics and Song & Dance.
Which class is suitable for you?
At Bentleigh we offer a choice ofthree (3) different class times - two weeknights and one on the weekend. Bentleigh Calisthenics prides itself on offering calisthenics classes for everyone no matter age or ability. We offer classes in two different streams - Development & Premier.
Our Development stream classes are open to all students and no experience is necessary to join. Classes are held weekly starting in February through to end October with 3-4 competitions attended across the year. Up to one holiday class may be included in each holiday period.
Our Premier stream classes are open to those students with previous calisthenics experience only with some classes only available via selection dependent on numbers. Classes are held weekly starting in February through to end October with 5 competitions attended included RSSS Ballarat. Holiday classes are held across all holidays and up to 6 additional extra classes will be held across the year that are required to be attended.

Calisthenics combines dance, gymnastics, ballet, and theatrical performance — offering a unique opportunity for children to develop physical ability, creativity, and stage presence.
Through regular training and team performances, participants will develop:
